History of Meghna
Brief description of Meghna upazila of Comilla district: In 1905, Daudkandi thana was divided and Meghna thana was formed. Homna Khana was upgraded to an upazila in 1984. In 1999, Meghna Upazila was merged with 4 unions of Homna Upazila (Chalibhanga, Chandanpur, Manikarchar and Radhanagar Unions). And Meghna Upazila consists of 6 Union Parishads with 3 former Daudkandi and now 4 Unions.
