March 26, 2018 - Formulation of laws, rules and policies. The Ministry of Labor and Employment is working tirelessly to move the national economy forward on the path of development by ensuring workers' welfare and a healthy labor environment. In order to achieve and implement this goal, laws, policies and rules are being formulated from time to time under the supervision of the Ministry and necessary amendments are being made. The Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 has been enacted with the conviction of ensuring a healthy working environment, fair employer-worker coordination and ensuring labor rights, which has been amended in 2009, 2010 and lastly in 2013 in three stages.
